Transmission Service Operators (TSOs) like Svenska Kraftnät in Sweden are looking to wind park owners for more flexible capacity, to help maintain a reliable and balanced grid. 

In particular, SVK seeks additional assets like wind parks to offer balancing services for the Frequency Containment Reserve – Disturbance (FCR-D) down balancing market. In Sweden, SVK expects to increase the contracted volume from 75 MW (2022) to 565 MW by 2025.
